The Civitaas team brings multidisciplinary expertise and extensive experience in AI development and evaluation. Our unique approach combines rigorous scientific methods with a deep understanding of how people use and adapt to technology in real-world settings.
Gabriella Waters
CO-FOUNDER
Gabriella is also Director of the Cognitive & Neurodiversity AI (CoNA) Lab at Morgan State University and CEO of Progressive Heuristics. She holds patents for AI innovations and computational methods for measuring responsibility in AI, and she was the chief architect of the Contextual Robustness Index (CoRIx) - a tool for measuring risks and real-world AI impacts. She also serves as an AI policy advisor.

Reva is a linguist, measurement scientist, and CEO of VernacuLab. With a 20 year career in technology evaluation, Reva was most recently research scientist in NIST’s AI Innovation Lab, creating and leading the ARIA Program, instrumental in the AI Risk Management Framework, and chief architect of the AI RMF Playbook.
